Independent software developer · Dublin

Your bookings are on paper. Your systems don’t talk to each other. I build the software that fixes both.

Booking platforms, line-of-business web apps, Android apps, and the integrations that hold them together. One developer, start to finish — you talk to the person writing the code.

What I build

All services →

01

Custom web applications

The system your business actually runs on, not a template bent to fit.

  • Multi-user platforms with roles
  • Document and record workflows
  • Replacing spreadsheet processes

02

Booking & scheduling

Where I have gone deepest. Calendars, capacity, cancellations, the awkward edge cases.

  • Multi-resource availability
  • Reminders and no-show handling
  • Payments and deposits

03

Android & mobile

An app for the people doing the work, in the field, often offline.

  • Native Android
  • Offline-first sync
  • Companion apps to a web system

04

Dashboards & reporting

The numbers you currently rebuild by hand every Monday morning.

  • Operational live views
  • Scheduled reports and exports
  • Pulling several sources together

05

Systems integration

Making two systems that were never designed to talk exchange data reliably.

  • REST and webhook integrations
  • Scheduled sync jobs
  • Migrating off a legacy system

06

Internal tooling

Small, unglamorous tools that remove a recurring hour from someone’s week.

  • Admin and back-office screens
  • Automation scripts and jobs
  • Browser extensions

How this works

One person, start to finish.

There is no account manager between you and the work. You describe the problem to the person who will write the code, and the person who wrote the code is the one who answers when something needs changing two years from now.

That means I take on fewer projects than an agency would, and I am honest early when something is not a good fit. It also means nothing gets lost in a handover, because there isn’t one.

How an engagement runs

All six stages →

01

Conversation

You tell me what is going wrong. No slide deck, no discovery invoice. If I am not the right person I say so here.

02

Scoping

I write down what gets built and what does not, with a price against it. You approve before anything starts.

03

Build

You see working software early and often, on a real URL you can open. Not screenshots at the end.

Tell me what is not working.

A short description of the problem is enough to start. I will tell you honestly whether I can help.
