Services
Six kinds of work, one person doing all of it.
Most projects touch two or three of these at once. A booking platform with an Android companion app and a nightly sync into an accounts system is a normal shape of job, not an unusual one.
01
Custom web applications
Built for one business and its actual process, rather than a product you have to reshape your operation around. Usually this replaces a spreadsheet, a shared inbox, and somebody’s memory.
- Role-based access for staff, managers, and customers
- Document generation, uploads, and audit trails
- Approval and status workflows that mirror how you already work
- Email and SMS notification pipelines
- Data migration off whatever you are on now
02
Booking & scheduling systems
The area I have spent the most time in. Booking looks simple until you hit double-bookings, partial cancellations, recurring slots, and the person who needs to move twelve appointments at once. That is where the work actually is.
- Availability across multiple staff, rooms, or vehicles
- Recurring bookings, blocks, and bulk rescheduling
- Automated reminders and no-show handling
- Deposits, payments, and refund rules
- Customer self-service alongside an office-side admin view
03
Android & mobile apps
Usually the field half of a system whose office half is a web app. Built for people using one hand, in bad light, on patchy signal — which mostly means it has to work with no connection at all and reconcile later.
- Offline-first capture that syncs when signal returns
- Photo, signature, and location capture on the job
- Push notifications tied to the web system
- Play Store submission and staged rollout
- Managed device and kiosk-mode deployments
04
Dashboards & reporting
If someone spends the first hour of every week assembling the same numbers from three places, that hour is a piece of software waiting to be written. These are usually the fastest projects to pay for themselves.
- Live operational views for the people on shift
- Scheduled reports delivered by email or to a drive
- Pulling several systems into one honest number
- Export to the formats your accountant actually wants
- Alerting when a threshold is crossed
05
Systems integration & automation
Two pieces of software that were never designed to know about each other, made to exchange data reliably — including the unglamorous part, which is what happens when one of them is down at 3am and nobody notices until Thursday.
- Two-way sync with retry and conflict handling
- Webhook receivers with replay and dead-letter handling
- Connecting directory, telephony, and finance systems
- Scheduled extracts where no API exists
- Monitoring so a silent failure does not stay silent
06
Internal tooling
Small things. A screen that removes a recurring hour from someone’s week, a script that stops a manual export, a browser extension that saves forty clicks a day. Often a few days of work with a better return than the big project.
- Admin and back-office screens for non-technical staff
- Automation for the jobs currently done by hand
- Chrome and Edge extensions for internal workflows
- One-off data cleanups and bulk corrections
Not sure which of these you need?
Describe the problem instead of the solution. Working out which category it falls into is my job, not yours.
